Why we are here

At AssetCut, we recognize the immense potential of real estate as an asset class for wealth building. Our mission is to democratize access to real estate investing, addressing key challenges in the industry, and empowering the next generation of homeowners. We focus on three main issues:

  • Lack of Affordable Housing

  • Transaction Inefficiencies Limited

  • Transparency in Housing Data

Lack of Affordable Housing

Real estate has proven to be a high-performing asset class over time, appreciating steadily and providing monthly rental income. However, housing affordability is at an all-time low, with interest rates climbing and the buying power of individuals dropping. As a result, the pool of potential homebuyers is shrinking, and an increasing number of people are resorting to renting. This disparity is especially pronounced in urban areas, where over 60% of the population rents, and first-time homebuyers make up only 26% of the market. Renters are caught in a cycle of rising rent payments without building any equity in their homes.

Transaction Inefficiencies

The traditional process of buying and selling real estate is riddled with friction. Transactions can take months to close, involve multiple third parties, and incur significant fees. Moreover, despite the digital age, many transactions still require physical paperwork and in-person registration. These inefficiencies translate into higher costs for consumers, including increased mortgage rates due to bank securitization practices.

Limited Transparency in Housing Data

Housing data is often fragmented and siloed, with third-party institutions creating walled gardens around proprietary information. Prospective homebuyers are forced to pay for access, giving institutional investors an advantage in making better-informed investment decisions. This status quo maintains an unequal playing field in real estate investment, with only large investors benefiting from comprehensive data access.

AssetCut aims to tackle these challenges by leveraging blockchain technology to create a more accessible, efficient, and transparent real estate investment landscape. By democratizing access to real estate investing and breaking down barriers, we strive to empower individuals worldwide to achieve financial stability and wealth through property ownership.
